SESSION 1 - HOW SUSTAINABILITY IMPACTS THE BOARDROOM AND THE BOTTOM LINE, FROM AN ACCOUNTING POINT OF VIEW.
Presented by Zabihollah (Zabi) Rezaee, PhD, professor of Accountancy and Chair of Excellence at The University of Memphis. Dr. Rezaee, is an internationally recognized expert and author in the field of corporate sustainability Performance, Compliance Accountability and Integrated Reports.
SESSION 2 - WHY WE DOTHIS - THE BUSINESS PERSPECTIVE
A panel comprising Kit Crighton-Smith, project manager for FedEx; Doug Duggard, sustainability manager for Smith & Nephew; and
Gary Cluck, Sr. Environmental Health & Safety Manager for Brother.
Each will give first-hand accounts of the energy efficiency measures taken to support corporate goals that they have implemented here in Memphis-area facilities.
SESSION 3 - FUNDING SOURCES AND TECHNOLOGIES TO IMPROVING YOUR BOTTOM LINE
A second panel will present energy conservation strategies and ways to pay for them. Brandon England of Pathway Lending, Chris Ewing of Ewing Kessler, Phil Everitt of IAC, and Clayton Poff of Energy Cost Reducers.
12:00 PM - A networking luncheon will be held at the Holiday Inn, after the sessions. Governor Lee is invited as the luncheon speaker and the newly appointed dean of the Fogelman College of Business and Economics, Damon Fleming , PhD, will share his experience with sustainability and the bottom line.
