DESCRIPTION:Come support Creative Aging at their annual fundraiser\, the Artist's Showcase.  Enjoy live music by Joyce Cobb\, Breeze Cayolle\, Bob Sunda and others.  A delicious gourmet dinner/heavy hors d'oeuvres is provided by Robinwood's Executive Chef\, Karen Roth (formerly of Erling Jensen & Alchemy).  Cash Bar\, Dancing and Silent Auction. \n\n\n\nAbout Creative Aging:   \n\n	Creative Aging is a non-profit organization that works to improve quality of life for Mid-South older adults by providing them with access to experiences in the arts.  Creative Aging artists perform for seniors in residential facilities like retirement communities\, assisted living facilities and nursing homes\, as well as at senior health fairs and events\, dementia daycare programs and senior centers.\n\n	\n\n	Statistics show that engagement with the arts can decrease the risk of depression\, disability\, and decline\, so Creative Aging strives to enhance the social and cognitive health of older adults. Creative Aging has paid out more than $400\,000 in professional artists' fees in the last seven years to support its mission. Eighty percent of the programs are music-related with the remaining programs having to do with art and creative writing workshops.
