• Actions that a buyer/seller must take and specific benchmarks that help culminate a solid import or export relationship
• Freight forwarders’ role in ensuring shipment documents are accurate and complete
• Terms of sale (Incoterms); Terms of Trade; Terms of Payment; Methods of Payment
• Commercial invoice; packing list; certificate of origin; SLI/SED; licenses
• Dangerous goods movements and documentation; trucking/rail component
• Carnets; U.S. Fish and Wildlife/USDA; Homeland Security; TSA/(shipment screening)
• Security and compliance; booking shipments with air/ocean carriers
• Import processes; customs procedures, rules and regulations
• Classification of shipments; duty drawback; labeling and markings
• Quotas; free trade zone (FTZ); transshipments; dumping; IATA/FIATA
and FMC
