Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett and Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis will be hosting an upcoming educational series called Red Hot Mamas. Red Hot Mamas is a support program that educates women about the physical and psychological changes that occur at menopause and helps them make informed health care decisions.
We are particularly excited about the fact that Karen Giblin, the founder of the national Red Hot Mamas program, will be at Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis for our first seminar, “Making Time For Menopause,” on August 2nd. When she was 40 years old, Karen had an emergency hysterectomy that included the removal of her ovaries and resulted in surgical menopause. She realized how difficult this transition could be, and Karen decided to start the Red Hot Mamas program to help other women with the transition.
