Rosemark National Historic District Dedication
The town of Rosemark in north Shelby County will celebrate its recently achieved National Historic District designation with a community event on Saturday, October 5. Festivities will begin at noon and continue through the afternoon on the grounds of Richland Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 8658 Rosemark Road.
Music will be provided by Tim Alexander, the Tipton-Rosemark Academy Choir, and Judge Karen Williams. At 2:00 pm, Shelby County Mayor Mark Luttrell, State Senator Mark Norris, State Representative Ron Lollar, County Commissioner Terry Roland and Millington Mayor Terry Jones will issue proclamations to the citizenry regarding the honor.
Signs which will be installed at the entryways to the Historic District will be presented. Antique cars and tractors, children's games, a petting zoo and other activities will fill up the grounds!
