Job Description
Singleton Preschool is currently seeking enthusiastic and passionate educators for a rewarding position as a Lead Teacher. Singleton Preschool is a traditional preschool that provides a safe, developmentally appropriate and community-centered learning environment for students ages 2-5.

The ideal candidate will have a unique opportunity to join a team of creative and dedicated staff as we work to expand our classes, curriculum and community involvement. Our Lead Teacher candidate will design, nurture and support our whole-child approach by creating a stimulating classroom environment that balances the Tennessee and National Early Childhood Standards with the social skills necessary to excel in primary school. Will be responsible for maintaining records for each child and preparing progress or other reports on assigned children for parents; including holding a parent-teacher conference on each child at least once a year.  This position has the convenience of operating on the same holiday/ closing/academic schedule as Bartlett City Schools and has a typical workweek of Monday-Friday, 8:30am-2:30pm; late August through early May. Must love children and be relatable. Must have the ability to plan, organize and instruct activities for preschool children while maintain order and have the ability to recognize problems, identify their potential effect and develop alternative strategies for preventing or solving them. Multitasking, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure is necessary.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be agile enough to perform a job as a teacher of small children. Ability to function independently, attend to detail, work under pressure and multi-task. Must be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or GED. Must have a MINIMUM OF FOUR (4) YEARS’ EXPERIENCE in working with children in an early childhood setting.

Must pass a background and driver’s license check and a physical exam including drug screen.

Bartlett resident preferred but not required.
