Job Description
The college will be hiring two individuals for this position.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required. At least two years of recruiting and
advising experience within a higher education admissions environment, with knowledge of federal
and state financial aid procedures. Applicant must be a dynamic individual with excellent
communication and computer skills.
General Duties
The academic/student support associate is responsible to the Student Affairs Manager for a ll assigned
duties. They are responsible for recruitment, advising, and ori entati ng prospective students.
Specific Duties
A. Recruit, advise, evaluate, and enro ll prospective students as directed
B. Assist with orienting incoming students
C. Inform prospective students of financial aid programs
D. Assist with pre-registration
         I. Determine the proper tuition/fees for incoming students
         2. Assign students to the proper classes
E. Provide individual and group advising sessions regarding student attendance, conduct, and
academic performance
F. Assist with identifying agencies that provide applicable services to student to assist their
retention in school
G. Develop meaningful re lationships with secondary school guidance counselors, teachers, and
agencies such as Vocational Rehabilitation, Human Services, Veterans Administration, and
other agencies that refer prospective students to the college
H. Schedule and conduct tours of the college
I. Perform all other duties as directed by supervision/administration
